Annual ECC Planning Summit
Guided by the theme "The Path: El Camino IS the Way," the annual ECC Planning Summit was a great success, bringing more than 70 members of the campus community together to share ideas and provide feedback on various aspects of the planning process.

All ECC employees are invited to join the Class of 2018 at the 71st commencement ceremony at 4 p.m. June 8 in Murdock Stadium. . If you can't make it to the stadium, you can watch the pomp and circumstance via livestream video. ECC will offer a live video stream of the commencement ceremonies as a no-cost service to our community.

El Camino College's inaugural "First-Gen Institute" was a great success! Coordinated by the First Year Experience program and other student services, the conference brought together representatives from more than 30 colleges and universities to discuss ways to support the needs of first-generation college students.

The college community packed the East Dining Room on April 19 for a Town Hall meeting. Information was shared about the exciting changes happening around campus at the community gathering, with topics ranging from enrollment trends, student access/support and academic pathways to construction plans and safety/technology improvements.

A campus-forum will be held on May 8 from 1-2 p.m. in the Stadium Room. The Forum will provide the opportunity for the campus community to understand and provide comment on the Substantive Change Proposal regarding the Change of Control of Compton College from El Camino Community College District to the Compton Community College District.

The Office of Marketing & Communications recently presented the 2018 marketing strategy at the April Board of Trustees meeting. The presentation included an analysis of areas of opportunity for the college's marketing and advertising plan as well as examples of past campaigns, and a summary of new strategies planned for the coming year.
