Career Counseling Appointments

Career Counseling Appointments

What is Career Counseling?

Within our one-on-one appointments we may discuss the following:

  • Your interests, strengths, values, personality and how it relates to to careers and majors
  • If you are undecided or unsure about your major, help you strategize and personalize career exploration to help you make a more informed decision regarding your educational and career goals
  • Refer you to appropriate career and major resources for career research and reflection
  • Provide job search guidance including resume review, interview preparation (including mock interviews), develop networking skills, and increase opportunity in job searching

Career Counseling is NOT primarily for Academic Counseling (i.e. Educational Planning, Prerequisite Clearance). If you are seeking academic planning, please make an appointment with Academic Counseling  - or if you are part of a special program like FYE or EOPS, please make an appointment with the respective department.

If you are looking for prerequisite clearances, please refer to Express Counseling (“Ask a Quick Question) or fill out a Prerequisite Clearance form
