ECC Immigrant Student Success

If you are an ECC student who identifies as undocumented and is pursuing a college education, this program is for you. Immigrant Student Success counselors can help with your educational plan and the transfer process to a four-year university, as well as assist you with the AB 540 affidavit and financial aid resources. This page can help you book an appointment with one of their counselors, understand how to access and request financial aid at ECC, learn about CHIRLA’s no-cost legal services, connect with our UndocuWarriors student club, and much more.

Immigrants Rising provides many resources and financial support to immigrant students, regardless of legal status. It empowers undocumented students to achieve their educational and career goals through tools and training on topics such as entrepreneurship and independent contractor/freelancer, as well as career-specific hands-on training, professional development, and mentoring in pre-law and mental health.

Pre-Health Dreamers

PHD empowers and equips students to skillfully use their voices to create a meaningful connection with higher education and professional programs. It provides student advising and advocacy support through its Peer Engagement and Enrichment Program (PEEP), national peer-support network, and its professional program guides provide information on how to apply for programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing that consider undocumented applicants with temporary benefits, DACA, or other immigration statuses. Check out their scholarship and pre-health internship lists, which include opportunities for high school seniors, undergraduates (community college and 4-year university), and students in graduate/professional programs.
