Suicide Prevention

  • Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255  The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress.
  • Crisis Text Line: Text COURAGE to 741741 - Text from anywhere in the USA to text with a trained crisis counselor. Free, 24/7 crisis counseling.

Anxiety

  • Anxiety and Depression Association of America: ADAA's mission focuses on improving quality of life for those with anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders through education, practice, and research.
  • National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) Helpline 1-800-950-6264, M-F, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., ET. Provides info on mental health conditions, treatment options, local support groups, services and programs and resource referrals. All crisis calls are transferred to a national crisis line.
  • National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) Virtual Support Groups: If you or someone you know is struggling with a mental illness, you are not alone. NAMI Westside Los Angeles offers Peer Support Groups for those living with mental health conditions, and Family Support Groups for family members and loved ones who are impacted by mental illness.

  • It Gets Better Project: Uplift, empower and connect.
  • PFLAG: The largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.
