Henry started as a career counselor at El Camino College in fall 2019. He is an undergraduate alumnus of University of California, Irvine, where he graduated with a B.A in psychology and social behavior. Henry later obtained his M.S. in counseling, specialization in career counseling and emphasis in college counseling at San Francisco State University. Residing in the Bay Area for the last five years, he has worked in a variety of public, private universities, as well as a variety of California Community Colleges in Northern California. Returning back to his native Southern California, Henry is excited to bring innovative equitable change in delivering career services for the students at ECC.
Lesley is a born and raised Angeleno. A first generation college student. A proud Latina of Honduran background. She has over ten years of experience in both career and academic counseling in higher education working with diverse student populations. She double-majored in Global Studies and Spanish from UCSB. During her undergrad, she studied abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain and also interned in Washington D.C. She obtained her two graduate degrees from CSUN: M.S. Counseling with specialization in College Counseling & Student Services, and Career Education & Counseling Certificate. After her master's degree, she lived abroad in Cuenca, Ecuador for over two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. Currently, she is in an EdD program in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at Loyola Marymount University. In her spare time, she loves to travel, go to concerts, and be outdoors.
Jacqueline majored in psychology and received her M.S. degree in counseling with specialization in college counseling and student services. She also completed a certificate in career education and counseling from CSUN. She has worked at private and public universities, as well as several California Community Colleges. Jacqueline has experience with working with students to assist them in reaching their career and academic goals. She now has the opportunity to work at ECC and continue her passion for helping students and assisting them with where they are and where they want to go.
Sherece is one of the new tenured track Career Counselors. She has experience working in K-12, 4-year institutions, and community college. She attended Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Psychology then pursued a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Cal State San Bernardino. In addition, she obtained a Career Advisor Certificate from San Diego University and is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). She values a holistic style of counseling, meeting students where they are and providing services accordingly. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family and loved ones, traveling, and sports.
Dr. Yamonte Cooper is a Professor of Counseling at El Camino College. As a Fullbright scholar, Dr. Cooper exchanged best practices in career counseling and development in Germany and has exchanged best practices with higher education institutions in Botswana.
Claudia is a proud alumni of El Camino College. She received her AA-T in Sociology and transferred to UC Irvine. She is currently pursuing her M.S in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne to become a college counselor in the near future. As an advisor, Claudia loves supporting students’ diverse academic and career trajectories while promoting self-advocacy and self-efficacy. She is passionate about educational reform and advocates for an equitable, student center, multicultural education. Outside of work, Claudia loves to travel, engage in political discussion, and binge-watch K-dramas.
Agnes is a Hispanic born and raised in Los Angeles who has been married for 20 years and a mother of two teenagers. Agnes has been a part of the ECC family for 5 years and was away for 2 years during the pandemic but is back now and officially working with the Career Center part-time as a Technician. For any assistance with appointments or Warrior Jobs questions, she's your gal!
Carla was born and raised in South Los Angeles. The first one in her immediate family to attend college and receive a doctorate degree. She has over 8 years of experience working for college preparatory programs such as Upward Bound (UB) and Educational Talent Search (ETS). Carla majored in Psychology from CSUN and obtained her MS in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. After her master’s degree she pursued her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Educational Psychology from USC, where she had the opportunity to go abroad to Beijing, China. She enjoys research and helping students fulfill their potential and educational endeavors. In her spare time, she loves to travel, attend concerts, musical festivals, and sporting events, such as Dodger, Laker and Rams games.
Adrian Delgado is the Employer Specialist/Job Developer where he has served since 2019. In his role, Adrian oversees the overall function of the Employer Partnerships, works with career team to facilitate strategic recruitment plans for employers, and collaborates with ECC departments to strengthen and develop relationships with organizations hiring ECC talent. Adrian received his Master from Antioch University, Los Angeles and is passionate about empowering students to navigate job searching and begin their careers. When he's not on campus Adrian is spending time with his family or at the beach.
