Resources for Pregnant and Parenting Students |
The Office of Title IX, Diversity, and Inclusion is a resource on campus for pregnant
and/or parenting students who have questions about their rights, reporting a violation
of rights, or who need assistance with requesting accommodations. |
Pregnant and parenting students are granted specific rights and protections through
Title IX.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq.,
is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex—including
pregnancy and parental status—in educational programs and activities.
