Housing options can range from living with American families (homestays) to living in apartments.
Homestay programs provide an excellent opportunity to practice English while experiencing American culture by living with a pre-screened American family. Applications must be submitted directly to a homestay company, with all fees paid as required. For any inquiries, please contact the agency's representative.

Apartments are available in Torrance and the areas surrounding El Camino College. Students are encouraged to contact the owners or managers directly to arrange rentals. Many apartments can be found along Redondo Beach Blvd, Yukon Ave, Artesia Blvd, and Crenshaw Blvd.
To rent an apartment, you will typically need to complete an application form and pay an application fee. Landlords usually require the first month's rent, a refundable security deposit (equal to at least one month’s rent), and a cleaning deposit. Utilities (water, gas, electricity) may or may not be included in the rent. Renting month-to-month might be more flexible than committing to a year-long lease.
