Tabling Opportunities
Reserve a spot in high-traffic student areas to meet potential candidates, distribute materials, and promote your brand directly.

Promote Your Opportunities
Share a job description or flyer with us, and we’ll:

  • Post it on our Instagram page
  • Display it in our Career Center

El Camino College uses Handshake as our official platform for connecting employers with students and alumni. Through Handshake, you can easily share job and internship opportunities, promote your organization, and reach a diverse pool of candidates—all at no cost.

Whether you're a new employer or already have an account, our Handshake Employer Page provides everything you need to get started, including:

  • How to create an employer profile
  • Steps to post your first job
  • Job posting requirements
  • Support resources and contact information

Start here: Visit our Handshake Employer Page ›

Each listing must include:

  • A clear job title and detailed job description
  • Compensation (hourly wage, salary, or pay range — “TBD” or “competitive” is not sufficient)
  • Work modality: on-site, remote, or hybrid
  • Defined work schedule or time commitment
  • Application instructions and a primary contact

All positions must comply with local, state, and federal employment laws, including wage and labor standards.

Internships are a valuable way to support student development while building your future talent pipeline. At El Camino College, we ask that all internships offer a structured, educational experience that aligns with the student’s academic or career goals.

If you’re offering an unpaid internship, it must meet the criteria set by the U.S. Department of Labor and should not displace paid employees.

Full details will be available soon on our Internship Page.

For immediate support with internship promotion or compliance, contact us at: careerservices@elcamino.edu

To protect the safety and interests of our students, El Camino College does not approve postings that involve:

  • Unpaid labor not structured as internships
  • Roles within cannabis-related businesses (due to federal funding restrictions)
  • Political campaign positions (per public resource use laws)
