Eligible employees may attend classes at El Camino College and receive reimbursement for paid enrollment fees and books purchased in the ECC Bookstore. Further information regarding this program maybe found in Article 21, Section 4, of the ECCE Agreement.
The purpose of this program is to recognize those employees who have an exemplary attendance record with a $150 “bonus” award. Eligible employees include members of the classified (ECCE) and campus police (POA) collective bargaining units. For more detailed information, read Article 11, Section 12, of the ECCE agreement.
Give up solo driving at least eight days per month and participate in the ECC Alternate Mode of Transportation Program. Participants can earn $25 as a one-time bonus AND $25 per month for leaving the car at home and biking, carpooling, walking, or taking the bus/rail/Metrolink to work. You could also be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate to an area retailer. Start by registering and then to be eligible for the prize drawings, use an alternate mode of transportation for three consecutive months or longer.
Do your part for the environment! Southern California leads the nation in air pollution and traffic congestion. Currently eight in 10 commuters drive alone to work, and traffic congestion is growing by three percent each year. If changes aren’t made, average rush-hour speeds will drop by more than half in the next decade – from 35 mph to 15 mph!
People who rideshare can park in “Staff Only Carpool” spots. The rideshare program has allocated 15 parking stalls for staff/faculty members who carpool to El Camino College, located in Lots C, H, and A. The staff carpool stalls are marked with orange “Staff Carpool Only” signs and are ready for your group!

ASB (Auxiliary Service Board) sticker can be purchased for $10.00 by faculty and staff at the Cashiers and the Center for the Arts ticket office. The sticker is good for the entire year and provides discounts to most of the theme parks, discounts on movie theater tickets, and to all home football games.
The Admissions Office has discount cards available for various theme parks and attractions. You may contact the office at (310) 660-3414. Discount movie and theme park tickets (with an ASB sticker) are also available at the cashier window.
The El Camino College Federal Credit Union is located at 15706 Crenshaw Blvd., Gardena, California, the telephone number is (310) 323-9800. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and days may change during the summer and holidays. Any employee of El Camino College is eligible to become a member of the Credit Union. The ECC Federal Credit Union offers ATM machines on campus, banking services and free notary service to ECC employees.
The Credit Union is not an official branch of the college, and its employees are not college employees. It operates as an independent service to the college.
The Fitness Center (located in PE-32) houses workout equipment which can be used by employees. Call x. 3667 for hours.
The Anthropology Museum is located on the first floor of the Arts Complex (Northeast corner). It features annual shows with a theme and regional focus. Gallery exhibits are designed and installed by Museum Studies students enrolled via the Anthropology Department.

The South Bay Astronomical Society meets in the Planetarium on the first Friday of each month. Admission is free and students and the public are welcome. Also, the Astronomy Department hosts several Planetarium shows each semester which are also free and open to the public. Concurrent with the Planetarium shows (and on other nights as well), observing sessions are held in the Observatory on the roof of the Mathematics building via a Celestron 16 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The Observatory is also equipped with a Hydrogen-Alpha Solar filter for viewing solar prominences and flares during the day time.
