Yes, there is a similar program called MESA Engineering Program (MEP) at some four-year schools. The main focus at that level is for engineering and computer science majors.

To be eligible to become a facilitator for MESA, you will need to fill out a Facilitator Application, available at the MESA|STEM Center or by email (mesa@elcamino.edu), and submit a letter of recommendation and copy of your unofficial transcripts to the MESA office. After all materials have been received, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.
As a student in the AEW, you are required to spend three hours per week in the workshop. This is the extent of the time commitment, as all work assigned during the workshop will be completed in the allotted time and is not to be taken home as homework.
