About the Foundation
The El Camino College Foundation was established in 1983 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to support higher education, arts and athletics.
History
In 1984, the state of California began charging for community college. As student demographics changed and state funding decreased, the Foundation’s focus shifted to support academic programs, other educational initiatives, student scholarships, and workforce development opportunities.
