The LGBTQIA+ Pride Center invites you to join us for a special Introduction to Ballroom & Voguing Workshop here at El Camino College.

Ballroom culture is a vibrant artistic and cultural movement created by Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities, where dance, fashion, performance, and chosen family come together in celebration of identity and self-expression. Voguing, made famous through ballroom competitions known as Balls, blends storytelling, rhythm, and powerful poses into a unique form of movement.

During this interactive workshop, students will learn:

• Basic Vogue movements
• The history of Ballroom culture
• The culture of Houses and Balls
• How Ballroom created community and belonging for LGBTQ+ people

No dance experience is required—just come ready to move, learn, and have fun.
