In addition to the El Camino College's code of conduct, the FIRST program also has a code of conduct for all of our students and guests to ensure that all the activities that we have throughout the semester are respectful and safe. Please read the FIRST Code of Conduct below.

FIRST Code Of Conduct

Fairness and Respect:

  • Treat all members of the FIRST & El Camino College Communities with fairness, respect, and dignity
  • Value and celebrate our differences, and avoid discrimination or prejudice based on race, gender, sexual orientation, background, or any other personal characteristic.

Integrity:

  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and honesty in all your interactions.
  • Maintain academic integrity in coursework, projects, and assignments.

Responsibility and Accountability:

  • Take responsibility for your actions and their impact on the community.
  • Be accountable for meeting your academic commitments, attending classes, and engaging in your educational journey

Support and Inclusivity:

  • Offer support and assistance to fellow FIRST participants when needed.
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, respecting their privacy and confidentiality.

Timeliness and Attendance:

  • Be punctual and attend classes and program activities regularly.
  • Notify FIRST staff if you are unable to attend or if you encounter any challenges.
