The Prerequisite Clearance Form is a convenient way to have prerequisites cleared to register for specific classes for the upcoming semester. Please be sure to carefully read the instructions in the "Submitting the Prerequisite Clearance Form" section below to ensure that your request is processed correctly and without delay.
If you are a new-to-college student enrolling after high school or have not completed college coursework and need English and Math clearances, you must first complete the English and Math Placement Survey, found on your MyECC portal, to determine your placement. If you have AP scores of 3 or higher, your score reports may be reviewed for possible clearance.
Prerequisite: A condition students must meet to enroll in a course.
Corequisite: A course taken simultaneously to enroll in another course.
A recommended, but not required, course taken with or before another course. You are able to enroll in any class with a Recommended Preparation.
Prerequisite clearances are processed within 24 hours of submission. Requests submitted during school holidays or on weekends will be reviewed the next business day. You will receive approval or denial notifications to the email address provided on the form.
