Graduation Intents and Petitions For Certificates
We are currently accepting intents/petitions for Spring 2024. The deadline to file an Intent to Graduate for Spring 2024 is Friday, February 23, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
We are no longer accepting intents/petitions for Fall 2023. The deadline to file an Intent to Graduate for Fall 2023 was Friday, October 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
Graduation intents will not be reviewed until after the filing period has ended. You will receive an email from noreply@formstack.com once your intent has been evaluated.
The Initial Evaluation Process Will Begin:
- Mid-August for Summer Intents
- Mid-October for Fall Intents
- The end of February for Spring Intents
The Filing Periods Will Begin Once Another Filing Period Has Ended
Spring 2024: Monday, October 16, 2023 - February 23, 2024 by 4:00 pm
Summer 2024: TBA
When you submit an intent and/or petition you will receive an email from noreply@formstack.com informing you we received your request and that it will be evaluated during the evaluation period for which you applied.
Assistance with Graduation
- Forms will only be available online during the filing period. Intent to Graduate and Petition for a Certificate must be submitted online by the posted deadline. Late request will not be accepted please file for the next graduation filing period.
- Contact your graduation evaluator (listed at the bottom of the page) for questions and assistance.

Grad Application Workshops
Need assistance with the intent to graduate process? Attend a workshop. Counselors will explain the process, assist you with the application, and answers any questions you may have.

The period to file an intent for Summer 2022 begins June 13 and ends at 4:00 pm on July 7, 2022.

Requirements
Have all official transcripts from former college(s) on file at El Camino College. Failure to provide these transcripts can delay your graduation intent and prevent you from graduating in the semester you selected.
Complete the online form accurately, and completely during the filing. Missing information will slow the processing of your intent or petition.
Meet the published deadline as found in the class schedule. If you do not submit your request(s) by the published deadline, your Intent or Petition will not be considered.

When Do I Graduate?
The graduation ceremony for the academic year is always held on the last day of the Spring semester at 4 p.m. Students eraning a degree for Summer 2023. Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 will be able to participate in the the graduation ceremony in Spring 2024.

Degrees and/or Certificates will be available for pick-up once the final evaluations for all have been completed for the term and accomplishments are posted to the transcripts. You will be notified via the email posted on your intent when they are ready for pick up.
