Congrats to Three Jack Kent Cooke Scholars

Three El Camino students are among 100 recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation's prestigious Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

Student Quinton Adams to Speak at Commencement

Quinton Adams came to El Camino College to prepare for a career in firefighting. He did exactly that, and while earning his degree in fire and emergency technology, Adams also built a support system that helped him along the way.

Forensics Team Records Historic Win

For the first time in the college's 75-year history, El Camino's forensics team recently won the highly competitive and prestigious overall Phi Rho Pi National Championship.

Women's Tennis: State Champs!

Congratulations to our women's tennis team for bringing the program's first-ever state championship home to El Camino College! The hard-working team secured the CCCAA State Championship Trophy after finishing a perfect 17-0 undefeated season.

Journalism Students Bring Home National Awards

El Camino journalism students earned nearly 40 awards for their work at recent collegiate journalism conferences. Staff members from The Union newspaper's online edition, eccunion.com, and Warrior Life magazine received 15 awards from the California College Media Association, including four first-place finishes.

75th Anniversary Concert

Guest artists, talented alumni, and assorted musical surprises are all in the lineup at El Camino's 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Celebration Concert, set for 8 p.m. June 3 in Marsee Auditorium.

Spring 2022 Classes Open on Campus

The spring 2022 semester is now underway with both in-person and online classes, along with safety measures such as a vaccine mandate and required COVID-19 protocols that include face mask wearing and COVID-19 screening upon campus entry.

Tenure Reception and Back-To-Campus Lunch

The Sixth Annual Tenure Reception and Back-To-Campus Lunch recently returned to campus. Following Spring Professional Development Day, employees met on the Library Lawn to reconnect over lunch and celebrate the accomplishments of our newly tenured faculty members.

In-Person Spring University Fair

Students are invited to campus for an in-person Spring University Fair scheduled from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 26 on the Student Services Plaza. Representatives from more than 30 colleges and universities will be available to answer questions and provide information about transferring and campus life.
