Stress Relief Tips

Our friends at Memorial Care provided some simple tips to help relieve stress.

Stress Relief Techniques:

  1. Deep breathing exercises; breath awareness ties with mindfulness.
  2. Count to 10; this will help maintain healthy mental hygiene.
  3. Step away from the screen; gather some perspective in the present moment.
  4. Listen to music; play your favorite tunes and dance like no one is watching.
  5. Meditation; meditation is a great way to quiet the mind.
  6. Yoga; it is meditation with an added physical component.
  7. Return to nature; greenery is much more relaxing than pixels on a screen.
  8. Read; allow tensions to drain away with a good novel or listen to audiobooks.
  9. Aromatherapy; essential oils have relaxing properties that increase contentment.
  10. Workout; exerting energy releases endorphins, leaving us happier and healthier.
