For a truly impactful and transformative Comprehensive Integrated Plan, the CIP development process should involve the entire El Camino College community! 

To help with coordination, members of a Strategy Steering Committee (SSC) will serve as the primary Campus representatives throughout the CIP process. The Strategy Steering Committee members will meet throughout the CIP process to:

• Provide information and insight to guide the Comprehensive Integrated Planning process.
• Refine drafts and serve as a conduit to articulate the needs of their constituents while recognizing the needs of other stakeholders to collaboratively support College-wide interests. 

For a more efficient process, a subgroup of the Strategy Steering Committee, the CIP Working Group, will propose initial rough drafts for discussion with the larger Strategy Steering Committee.

In addition, several other working groups with specific areas of focus will be developing recommendations to support the Comprehensive Integrated Plan.  These supporting plans include the following plans and committees:

• Education Plan (VP Academic Affairs & VP Student Services with the Academic and Student Services Deans)
• Facilities Plan (Facilities Steering Committee)
• Technology Plan (Technology Steering Committee)
• People Plan (Human Resources Area Council)

To help refine the CIP, we welcome the campus community to read through the following drafts and provide feedback to representatives on the Strategy Steering Committee, Academic Senate, or College Council.  The draft Comprehensive Integrated Plan includes: 

• CIP Overview
• Internal and external landscape analysis
• Education Plan (draft as of 5/20/24)
• Facilities Plan
• Technology Plan
• People Plan
• Accessibility & Safety/Security Plan (Executive Summary)

Any proposals will be reviewed by representatives from the campus community and the Strategy Steering Committee through a series of working meetings and forums.   Revised draft plans will then be reviewed by the Academic Senate and College Council.  The content of the finalized CIP will be reformatted into a dynamic CIP microsite to inform the work of the campus community on an ongoing basis and to track progress.
