Timeline for New Students Starting Fall 2023
- Apply for Admission for Summer Session online!
- Summer application opens October 1.
- Make sure to include your social security number (if you have one) on your application to avoid issues with financial aid and/or residency misclassification.
- Receive your 7-digit ECC Student ID Number and MyECC login information in 1-2 business days. Check your email!
- 2023-24 Financial Aid applications also open October 1.
- Contact your high school’s College & Career Center to find out when El Camino will be at your campus.
- Login to your MyECC to complete English and Mathematics Placement Survey
- Apply online for the South Bay Promise! Make sure to review all application requirements
- If you haven’t yet, Apply for Admission online!
- Complete English and Mathematics Placement Survey in MyECC

- Deadline to complete English and Mathematics Placement Survey, Orientation, and Educational Plan for Fall priority registration is April 30
- Visit Financial Aid Computer Lab at El Camino to start/complete Financial Aid application
- Connect with Student Support Programs
- Complete English and Mathematics Placement Survey in MyECC
- Create an Educational Plan with an El Camino counselor
- Visit Financial Aid Computer Lab at El Camino to start/complete Financial Aid application
- Review and complete South Bay Promise requirements
- Make sure to complete your Financial Aid application!
- March 2nd is the Cal Grant application deadline
- Create an Educational Plan with an El Camino counselor
- Tour El Camino campus
- Attend Warrior Smart Start
- Deadline to complete English and Mathematics Placement Survey, Orientation, and Educational Plan for Fall priority registration is April 30
- Deadline to complete South Bay Promise application and requirements is also April 30
- Log into MyECC to view your Registration Appointment date and time
- Register for classes
- Help is available! Visit the Virtual Information Desk
- Log into MyECC to review your Financial Aid status
- June 1, 2021 is Financial Aid disbursement priority deadline
- Register for classes
- The fall semester is around the corner!
- Pay your fees before the drop for non-payment deadline
- Purchase your parking permit (optional)
- Take your Student ID Card photo and purchase your textbooks
- Semester begins Saturday, August 26, 2023
- Weekday classes begin Monday, August 28, 2023
