English Placement Test

Important Information Regarding English Placement

Due to changes in state policy, placement into the English sequence is no longer based on a test.  In most cases, prospective ESL students will still take a placement exam.  However, most other students will be placed into English courses using the resources below.  If you are unsure how to proceed, please visit the Counseling Department and/or the Warrior Welcome Center. 

Please complete this survey to be placed using the new system:

• English and Mathematics Placement Survey

  • After receiving your ECC Student ID Number and MyECC username and password, you can complete the English and Mathematics Placement Survey on MyECC (student home screen). Placement will be based on your high school GPA and coursework.
