Office Mission:
The Office of Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) supports the El Camino College
mission by leading institutional planning and guiding research that advances student
success and institutional excellence.
Office Responsibilities:
- Produce internal and external reporting to meet mandates according to calendar and
requirements
- Strengthen the capacity of College stakeholders to draw insight from data to support
decision-making
- Coordinate the development of program reviews and plans at all levels of the College
- Support institutional priorities by responding to research and planning emerging needs
2023-26 IRP Office Goals
- Assist college stakeholders to integrate research and planning by using research findings
to enhance planning, decision-making and continuous improvement
- Build campus-capacity to support CIP implementation & coordinate the development of
2024-27 CIP implementation plan
- Strengthen the relationship between budget-related data, annual planning and planning-related
processes
- Standardize data-related procedures for improvement of quality and consistency
