Student Health Services (SHS) at El Camino College is committed to providing excellent, comprehensive outpatient clinical care to promote and maintain the health and well-being of our students. We achieve this through a multi-disciplinary team approach comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, clinical psychologists, a licensed chiropractor and office support staff.

Available Services

We encourage the creation of a culture of wellness that promotes and supports healthy lifestyle practices across the El Camino College community. Currently enrolled students can access the following services:

  • FREE Treatment for Acute Injuries & Illnesses
  • FREE Mental Health Therapy
  • FREE/Low-Cost Vaccines & Immunizations
  • FREE/Low-Cost Medications
  • FREE Testing and Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections                    One FREE STI panel per semester
  • FREE/Low-Cost Reproductive Health Services (Condoms, Birth Control Pills, Plan B)
  • FREE Chiropractic Services
  • FREE/Low-Cost Lab Testing
  • FREE Workshops & Events

If you are experiencing a physical or mental health emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately or visit your nearest emergency room.

For the most up-to-date information about the status of El Camino College (ECC Vaccine Mandate, Medical and Religious Exemption Forms, ECC FAQs), view the El Camino College COVID-19 webpage.

 

The Student Health Fee of $26 per fall and spring semesters and $22 per summer session covers most services at ECC's Student Health Services, with no need for insurance or a co-pay.

Student Health Services is solely supported by the student health fee.

Student Wellness Ambassadors are employed by Student Health Services to provide peer-to-peer outreach to promote a variety of holistic resources that help students succeed!

Student Wellness Ambassador goals include:

  • Reducing stigma by promoting student physical and mental health benefits and resources in a welcoming and relatable manner
  • Promoting services and resources through innovative and creative outreach strategies
  • Furthering student reach and collaboration across campus
  • Focusing on reaching historically underserved students
  • Improving student outcomes by providing resources and support for student success
