More than 400 prospective students and visitors attended Spring College Night at El Camino College on April 26. Approximately half of the attendees were in ninth-11th grade, or were adult learners. These attendance statistics show a major goal of Spring College Night accomplished – to expand the outreach beyond high school seniors to attend the event.
Visitors took campus tours and learned about the college's many academic and student support resources. While some students considered the evening an informational event, high school seniors were also able to access enrollment services. In all, about 30 educational plans and orientations were completed. In addition, workshops were very well received. More than 40 faculty members participated by either presenting a workshop or staffing an information table. Thank you to all the programs that participated in this successful event!
