ASO Honored with Environmental Stewardship Award
Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi presents the Environmental Stewardship Award to ASO President and former intern Eman Dalili, who is joined by President Maloney and ASO members.

In recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the South Bay, Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi recently presented the El Camino College Associated Students Organization (ASO) with an Environmental Stewardship Award for their efforts to cut down on plastic water bottle use. The award recognizes a "hydration station" program initiated and implemented by ASO members. Through this program, five FloWater stations have been installed on campus, providing purified, good-tasting, chilled water to refill water bottles. Members of the college community are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles to campus and refill them at one of the "hydration stations." Each refill station purifies water at over 700 milliliters per minute, accommodates any bottle size, and is energy efficient.
