El Camino Confirms COVID-19 Cases

Five members of the El Camino College community have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus. To protect patient privacy, each person's information is considered confidential and will not be disclosed. All individuals were last on campus on Thursday, March 12. Students and employees who may have been exposed to the affected individuals have been identified and notified. In addition, an individual employed by one of the construction companies working on campus tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last on campus on March 31 and was only in the gated construction zone; the construction company confirmed that the individual had no contact with any El Camino College students, faculty, or staff.
