El Camino College to Present Music Duo “Twin Flames”
Twin Flames, an acclaimed Canada-based duo, creates modern indigenous music in both English and their ancestral languages that seamlessly merges with various musical genres, leaving an impact on audiences worldwide.
The dynamic pair will bring their harmonious blend of vocals, guitar, and indigenous instruments to a concert set for 8 p.m. April 4 in El Camino College’s Campus Theatre.
Jaaji, hailing from Nunavik and Kahnawake (Inuk, Mohawk), and Chelsey June Settler (Algonquin, Métis, and Cree heritage), deliver their songs in a mix of English, French, and Inuttitut. Together, they craft captivating sonic soundscapes by incorporating indigenous spirit flutes, traditional drums, and Western instruments.
