El Camino College Seeks Applications for Two Open Positions on its Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee

March 25, 2025 Torrance, CA

El Camino College is currently accepting applications to fill two open positions on its Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee as Community Representatives.

As part of the campus modernization effort made possible by voter-approved Measure E bond funds, the El Camino Community College District Board of Trustees established a seven-member Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. Meeting quarterly, the Committee is responsible for actively reviewing bond revenue expenditures and informing the public about those expenditures. A Community Representative on the Committee must live within the El Camino Community College District ( the communities of Ladera Heights, Inglewood, Lennox, Hawthorne, El Segundo, Lawndale, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula). Membership on the Committee is voluntary; employees, students, and vendors of El Camino College cannot serve on the Committee and cannot apply, but may encourage those who do qualify to apply.

The Committee’s next meeting will be Wednesday, March 26 at 3:30pm in the Kenneth A. Brown Boardroom in the Administration Building on campus. All meetings are open to the public.

Individuals interested in applying should email a one-page letter of intent and a one-page resume outlining qualifications to:

Brenda Thames, Ph.D.
Superintendent/President

Emails of interest must be received no later than Friday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m.
