“College Night” Welcomes Community to El Camino for On-Campus Event
El Camino College will open for an in-person event that demonstrates the many opportunities available to students as they pursue a high-quality education that leads to university transfer and careers. “College Night” returns to campus this fall, ready to show future students what El Camino has to offer, from academics and support programs to clubs and activities.
Prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members are invited to attend this open house event anytime between 5 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10. College Night will feature a variety of workshops, a resource fair, and twilight campus tours.
“El Camino invites everyone to this special on-campus event that highlights what makes our college a leader in expanding access to higher education, along with the resources that students need to succeed,” said El Camino College superintendent/president Brenda Thames.
Future students will be able to learn about transferring and career opportunities, in addition to finding assistance with applying to El Camino. Visitors can also explore El Camino’s afternoon and evening classes, ideal for working adults looking to upgrade their skills or change their career path. Deans, faculty members, and counselors will be on hand to answer questions.
“This is our first time back on campus and we hope the community can join us and get reintroduced to our college and our award-winning student support programs,” said Julieta O. Arámburo, El Camino’s director of outreach and school relations.
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and a convenient South Bay location. Financial aid and other support services are available to help students succeed in college. Hundreds of classes are available for winter and spring 2022. Students can apply now at www.elcamino.edu. The winter 2022 term begins Jan. 3, and the spring 2022 semester begins Feb. 12.
