Meta-Majors

Do you have interests, but don’t know how they might fit into your educational plans at ECC? Start by choosing a Meta-major based on your goals and interests. Meta-majors are sets of programs designed around seven broad subject areas to let you explore your options while earning credits in courses required for any degree you choose. Meta-majors also provide customized support to help you reach your educational and career goals. As soon as you decide on the course of study that’s right for you and your goals, you can move to that degree program with some of your required courses already completed. 

At El Camino College, we have seven meta-majors which comprise over 75 academic programs. Each meta-major offers a comprehensive transfer, degree or certificate program. ECC offers transfer majors for students planning to transfer to a university or professional school. We also offer an extensive list of certificate programs and A.A or A.S. Degrees.
