Benefits of TEACH El Camino
The TEACH program gives you access to academic support services available on campus and in the community and assists in defining, pursuing, and ultimately achieving your professional goals.
The TEACH El Camino Teacher Education Program was created in response to California’s projected need for teachers over the next decade. Through partnerships with local universities, transfer pathways for Liberal Studies and Child Development were developed to guide students on the path to pursuing education related careers.
Program Benefits
All students enrolled in TEACH El Camino will benefit from the following support services:
By taking specific courses that have been articulated with a number of local universities, TEACH students can complete most (if not all) of their lower division major and general education course requirements prior to transfer via a guided pathway they will receive in their counseling appointments.
Located in BSSB 110, this room is equipped with numerous teaching resources, including laminators, bookbinders, die cuts, children’s books, puppets, flannel stories, teacher resource books, computers, scanners, and more, some of which can be checked out for use at home or in the classroom.

TEACH offers offers workshops to help students develop the resources and skills they will need to become effective educators
Future Teachers' Club
The Future Teachers’ Club provides TEACH students with an opportunity to attend monthly
meetings designed to foster social and professional connections among members.

Child Development Club
The purpose of the organization is to bring together students and community members
with an interest in fostering the growth and development of children in their communities.
