Are you a student interested in building your leadership skills and exploring your passion for social justice?
We are looking to help students grow as leaders - from the inside out.
The Social Justice Leadership in Action, formerly known as Student Leadership Institute
(SLI), at El Camino College is a training program that provides students with an opportunity
to tap into their strengths, skills and authentic leadership abilities through identity
exploration, collaborative group activities and site visits to local grassroots community
organizations.
• Students will participate in a 2-Day Training Session on leadership styles, social
change movements, personal values, communication, strengths, self-care and teamwork.
• Leadership in Action student groups will visit local organizations that make
a positive impact in our communities.
• At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to share their
experiences at our culminating Pinning Ceremony and Celebratory Dinner.
