Rave Emergency Alerts
Rave is a mass notification system that quickly and reliably sends critical information during emergencies.
El Camino College is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our campus community. To support this commitment, we use the Rave Emergency Notification system to immediately broadcast urgent messages and deliver instructions to the campus community when necessary.
What is Rave?
Rave is primary and official emergency notification system used across El Camino College to notify students, faculty, and staff. Rave is able to deliver messages to your El Camino College email, your cell phone via text message, or any other email/text capable device.
How to Sign Up for Alerts
Text ECCPD to 226787 (CAMPUS) to receive alerts from the El Camino College Rave Emergency Alert System.
Leave the Rave Alert System
Text STOP to 226787 (CAMPUS) to cancel or HELP for tech support. Note: ECC (.edu) email addresses cannot be unsubscribed from Rave.
Visitor/Temporary Opt-in Messaging
Visitors can opt in to Rave for a fixed period of time during their stay on campus by texting “YES” to a predetermined number. Construction crews, conference attendees, parents of children attending camps, can all benefit from this alert service.

All individuals are welcome to subscribe to Rave notifications. Users do not need
to have a elcamino.edu email account to subscribe.
(Please note all elcamino.edu email accounts are automaticly subscribed to the system)
Emergency messages can include campus lockdowns and closures, active shooter threats, fire or hazardous materials incidents, medical emergencies, suspicious activities, power outages, building/area evacuations and any other emergency situation.
Text Messages
Text messages will be sent to you from Rave Alert using numerical “short codes,” 226787 (CAMPUS). We strongly encourage you to save the number in your phone contacts list after you receive your first message. This way, in future emergencies, the message will be more recognizable as an official communication from the college.

El Camino College Police tests the Rave Emergency Alert System as needed and such tests may be announced or unannounced.
