New Emergency System: Rave
El Camino College has partnered with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) and Rave Mobile Safety to provide a new campuswide emergency alert and warning system. El Camino College no longer uses the Nixle text alert system to communicate safety emergencies to the campus and surrounding communities.
What are the next steps?
As a default, your El Camino email address has been automatically enrolled to receive emergency notifications. You should have received a “Welcome” email from Rave with detailed instructions on how to create a user profile, and how to add cell phone numbers and preferred email addresses where you want to receive future ECC emergency alert messages.
How do I receive ECC emergency text alerts?
You can also text “ECCPD” to 226787 (CAMPUS) to begin receiving alerts from the El Camino College Community Alerting System.
