Get Ready to ShakeOut!
El Camino will again participate in this year's International ShakeOut Day on Oct. 17. This is the day when millions of people worldwide will participate in earthquake drills at work, school, or home. The California ShakeOut earthquake drill is scheduled for 10:17 a.m. Oct. 17 on the El Camino campus, a great time to learn how to be earthquake safe. When given the signal at 10:17 a.m., all members of the campus community, wherever they are, are encouraged to:
- DROP to the ground
- Take COVER by getting under a sturdy desk or table
- HOLD ON until the drill ends
