On September 7, the Board of Trustees adopted Resolution Number 2021-09-07, which included the requirement that employees be fully vaccinated, and if not fully vaccinated, become fully vaccinated and provide evidence of full vaccination no later than Monday, November 8, 2021.
Upon Executive Cabinet's further review of the matter, and in consideration of employee input, the employee deadline for compliance will now coincide with the student deadline of Monday, January 3, 2022. This grace period is intended to allow processing of the necessary information to establish compliance with the requirements of the Board's Resolution.
The required process for vaccination or exemption will still be in place for all employees and students. In that regard, the Resolution includes medical and religious exemptions.
Please contact ADA Compliance Officer Leo Barrera at lbarrera@elcamino.edu to submit a request for an exemption.
Please visit Uploading Vaccination Proof for instructions on submitting vaccination information.
In light of the campus being closed between December 23, 2021 and January 2, 2022, all employees should submit their proof of vaccination or submit their requests for exemption no later than December 3, 2021 in order to allow the District sufficient lead time to process the information.
In the case of a District-approved exemption, regular COVID-19 testing with evidence of negative test results, will be required for anyone who is not fully vaccinated prior to accessing District facilities.
Free vaccinations are available at the Student Health Center Monday-Friday,
9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please call 310-660-3643 to schedule an appointment.
