While El Camino College is encouraged by the expanded access to vaccines, including the recent announcement that those 16 and over may now receive the vaccine, the College has determined that due to the scheduling challenges faced by our students, the majority of courses will continue to be offered online this fall. The fall class schedule provides about 20 percent of classes to be on campus with the remainder being offered in remote, online and hybrid formats to provide a safe learning environment for our students.
El Camino continues to follow the guidelines set by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health to ensure a safe and positive transition back to campus life. In the meantime, the following information is the most recent update on what’s happening as we prepare for the upcoming fall semester, beginning August 28.
The El Camino COVID-19 Task Force has been planning since February 2020 to ensure that all students, employees, and visitors visiting our campus remain safe and protected when in-person instruction returns. When it is safe to bring all courses back to campus, it is our highest priority to provide an organized, safe, and successful transition with as little disruption or inconvenience as possible.
