Due to the current surge in COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County, and four confirmed cases among the El Camino College community recently, it has been determined that the semester’s final weeks of on-campus instruction in Essential Manufacturing courses will be postponed until it is safe to resume in-person instruction.
Faculty are assessing the possibility of completing the last three weeks of the semester using online methods. Those classes which cannot be completed online will be suspended and students currently enrolled in these courses will receive an In Progress (IP) notation. This will not affect the student’s grade and the student will have a year to complete the course. Admissions and Records will notify students of their status.
El Camino College has taken this action to protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff as well as the community. Allied health and safety courses, including Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Fire Academy, and POST Academy will remain on campus for in-person instruction.
Students enrolled in the affected courses can contact their instructor with questions about the status of their classes and Admissions and Records with questions about grade status.
