LA County Announces Plan to Offer COVID-19 Vaccines to Education Sector, March 1

ECC Employees Can Soon Register to Receive Vaccine

El Camino College is among the many school districts given the greenlight by the County of Los Angeles to receive vaccines beginning March 1.

Nearly 400 sites in L.A. County are administering the vaccines, including federally qualified health clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, and large capacity vaccination sites. There’s a very limited vaccine supply and registration is required for a vaccine appointment. ECC employees may visit the L.A. County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine webpage or follow @LAPublicHealth on social media for more information on when and where staff of the education sector can get vaccinated.

Vaccinations are free and registration is required. Please be prepared to show proof of identification, and proof of education sector employment. Registration and a list of eligible identification is available on the webpage.

At this time, the education sector is not yet listed in the “Book an Appointment” sign-up option on the L.A. County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine webpage.  Please continue to check the webpage regularly for updates.
