Managers to Provide Reporting Instructions Following Repair of Broken Pipeline
Repair work to the broken pipeline has been completed and heating has been restored to campus. Employees may begin returning to work on Tuesday, January 11 pending instructions from managers about scheduling and in consideration of workloads, deadlines, and the continued high levels of Omicron transmission.
Student Instruction
To maintain continuity in instruction for the winter session, courses converted to live online delivery modalities will remain 100% live online for the entire Winter term. Activity or lab sections that were scheduled to occur outdoors will continue as scheduled. Allied health, science, and CTE courses that are heavily dependent upon lab components, skills demonstration, and/or not otherwise amenable to online instruction have been frontloaded with online lecture content. It is expected that these courses will return to campus beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Mandatory COVID Testing
Out of an abundance of caution to proactively contain on campus exposures, antigen testing (nasal swabbing) will be required twice weekly for employees working on campus for the duration of Winter Session. This precaution will be coupled with staggered schedules and socially distanced work space assignments where feasible. Testing will be offered in the South Gym Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. to ensure that people working onsite are COVID-free.
If test results are negative, employees should go to the kiosk of their choice and show their results to receive a wrist band.
CLIA-certified lab results issued within 48 hours from an employee’s first day of work after they return will also be accepted. An express line will be available to read and validate these results. No home test results will be accepted.
