In-Person Spring University Fair Scheduled at El Camino College

El Camino College will sponsor a Spring University Fair from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 26 on the Student Services Plaza. Representatives from more than 30 colleges and universities will be available to answer questions and provide information about transferring and campus life. 

Sponsored by El Camino’s Transfer Center, the annual event is the first on-campus Spring University Fair in two years since the pandemic moved many college activities to an online platform. Students will have the opportunity to explore options and gather material from different universities as they learn about the transfer process. Last year, a successful virtual fair offered students important connections with college and university representatives, but Transfer Center staff members are excited about the benefits of meeting in person once again this year. 

“Transfer Center staff members are looking forward to introducing students to our university partners so they can establish a personal connection with someone who will explain admission requirements and highlight key services such as housing, financial aid, and campus resources,” said counselor and Transfer Center Coordinator Rene Lozano. “Our goal is to facilitate a smooth transfer experience for every student.”

El Camino College regularly ranks in the top 10 in the state in sending students to the University of California and California State University systems. Representatives from those campuses will join a variety of private institutions at the Spring University Fair to provide information on majors and admission requirements, as well as the educational opportunities available at their campuses.
