Fall University Fair THIS THURSDAY at El Camino College
Representatives from four-year colleges and universities to meet with prospective students
El Camino College’s annual Fall University Fair invites students to meet with representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the Library Lawn. Information about the transfer process, academic requirements, and campus life will be available.
Sponsored by El Camino’s Transfer Center, the event brings many different universities together in one place so students can explore a variety of education opportunities, ask questions, and gather information. Admission requirements, majors, and updates about important university services such as housing, financial aid, and campus resources are just a few of the topics students will discover.
El Camino regularly ranks in the top 10 in the state for students transferring to the University of California and the top five for students transferring to the California State University system. Representatives from those campuses will join private and out-of-state colleges and universities at the Fall University Fair.
“The Transfer Center is proud to host university admissions representatives from an array of public and private (in-state and out-of-state) universities to serve as a transfer network for our students,” said counselor and Transfer Center Coordinator René Lozano.
In addition to offering the University Fair, the Transfer Center is open year-round to guide students through the process of transferring to the university of their choice. Transfer Center staff provide personalized assistance with each student’s transfer journey, offering direction and support to make a good transfer decision.
