El Camino College Invites Community to “College Night”
El Camino is proud to announce its annual “College Night,” will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Student Services Plaza (near Manhattan Beach Blvd.). This free event is open to all prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members for a fun and informative evening that showcases the College’s many academic and student support resources. All are invited to participate in student-led twilight campus tours, workshops, a resource fair, receive basic needs information, attend admissions application assistance sessions, and so much more.
“El Camino College is an extraordinary college, and the best way to experience our campus and really see what we have to offer is in person through events like College Night,” explains El Camino College Superintendent/President Dr. Brenda Thames. “We invite everyone to attend this event that highlights our outstanding academic and support programs. We have more than 200 degree and certificate programs taught by exceptional faculty as well as phenomenal academic counseling and advising services. We also have amazing staff to provide support through learning resources, career services, basic needs assistance, and clubs. There are many opportunities to meet new friends and find resources within our campus community. We are the South Bay’s community college. Providing access to college and making sure every student is successful are our top priorities.”
Participants can learn about successful transfer strategies through El Camino’s Transfer Center and can connect with others at a clubs and student leadership workshop. In addition, prospective students and their families can connect with faculty, learn about short-term certificate programs, and chat with current students.
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and an accessible South Bay location. Financial aid, counseling, and other resources are available to help students be successful as they work toward their goals. Students can apply now at www.elcamino.edu.
