El Camino College Welcomes Students Back in Classrooms

November 30, 2021 Torrance, CA

After nearly two years of virtual classes, El Camino College is excited to announce that registration for winter and spring 2022 semester courses is now open with lectures and labs to be conducted in “face-to-face” classes on campus. Online options are also available.

El Camino requires that all students and employees be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19, or have received an approved exemption before Monday, January 3, 2022, prior to attending or teaching classes. The following information should be considered when preparing for the upcoming academic terms:

  • Students and employees must be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19  AND have proof of vaccination uploaded onto their World Back to Work account profile before January 3, 2022.
  • Students and employees who are not yet vaccinated are strongly encouraged to receive a free vaccination at the Student Health Center where the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available.
  • El Camino will continue following guidelines by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and social distancing will be practiced when possible during outdoor events.
  • All students, employees and visitors will be required to visit a COVID-19 screening check-in kiosk to obtain a clearance wristband prior to entering any building or facility on campus.
  • Face masks must be worn indoors, and outdoors where social distancing cannot be practiced.
  • Parking remains free on campus—no permits are required throughout the Winter and Spring terms.
  • Visit the COVID-19 Updates page for the latest information.

El Camino’s Student Health Center and the Associated Students Organization (ASO) have teamed up to provide a fun and supportive opportunity for currently unvaccinated students and employees to comply with the College’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate. Vaccinated El Camino College students can enter an opportunity drawing to win prizes at the Winter Vaccination Festival on Thursday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. taking place at the Student Services Plaza on campus.

The festival will include the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. For more information on vaccination, please contact the El Camino College Student Health Center.

At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and a convenient South Bay location. Financial aid and other support services are available to help students succeed in college. Hundreds of on-campus classes are available for winter and spring 2022. Students can apply now at https://www.elcamino.edu/admissions/. The winter 2022 term begins Jan. 3, and the spring 2022 semester begins Feb. 12.
