El Camino College Welcomes Community to the “Winter Vax Festival”
TORRANCE—Just in time for the holiday season, vaccinated El Camino College students and employees can enter an opportunity drawing to win prizes at the Winter Vaccination Festival on Thursday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. taking place at the Student Services Plaza on campus.
El Camino’s Student Health Center and the Associated Students Organization (ASO) have teamed up to provide a fun and supportive opportunity for currently unvaccinated students and employees to comply with the College’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate in time for winter courses to begin on campus on Monday, January 3, 2022. The festival will include the Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, and Moderna vaccines. Boosters shot will also be available.
While the festival targets current and prospective El Camino College employees and students for the upcoming academic terms, it is also open to the public for anyone who wishes to get vaccinated or receive a booster in time for holiday family visits or travels.
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and a convenient South Bay location. Financial aid and other support services are available to help students succeed in college. Hundreds of on-campus classes are available for winter and spring 2022. Students can apply now at www.elcamino.edu. The winter 2022 term begins Jan. 3, and the spring 2022 semester begins Feb. 12.
El Camino College is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. Parking is free for Winter Vax Fest visitors in Lot C, located on Manhattan Beach Boulevard. Participants are asked to check in at the west side of the Student Services building.
