El Camino College Theatre Department to Present “The Taming of the Shrew”
The El Camino College Theatre Department will present William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” this fall. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10, and at 3 p.m. Dec. 4 and 11 in the Campus Theatre.
This classic fast and furious comedy explores what it truly means to live, laugh, and love. Shakespeare’s Katherine and Petruchio have met their match in each other. As they engage in a lively battle of wits, they somehow realize that in order to “tame” the other, they just might have to tame themselves.
Gregg W. Brevoort directs this play that has been adapted numerous times for stage, screen, opera, ballet, and musical theater.
Tickets are $10-$15 and may be purchased at www.centerforthearts.org using the online ticketing system. Campus parking is free for this production; no permit required. El Camino College is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. COVID-19 safety protocols are in place: www.elcamino.edu/campus-life/arts/.
