El Camino College’s Annual Toy Drive to Support Students; Donations Are Still Needed

Unwrapped gifts and cash donations to the ECC Foundation go directly to support ECC student families

Every year, the  CARE and CalWORKs programs host a Warrior Holidays event where our students and their children can enjoy music, eat delicious food, play fun games, meet Santa Claus, and receive gifts donated from our staff and campus community. ECC students and their families are invited to participate in our 27th Annual CARE & CalWORKs Warrior Holidays event on Friday, December 5, 2025. This cherished campus tradition supports some of our most resilient students by providing toys, gifts and joy into our students’ lives and put smiles on their children’s faces during the holidays.

At their November 18 meeting, members of the El Camino College Board of Trustees joined this year’s effort with a generous contribution, donating several bags of new, unwrapped toys to the Warrior Holidays Toy Drive. Their support underscores the Board’s ongoing commitment to student success and community wellbeing.

“We are deeply grateful to our Board of Trustees for their heartfelt donation and leadership,” said Kristen Johnson, EOPS, CARE, and CalWORKS Program Director. “Each year, our Toy Drive brings joy and relief to ECC students and their families who are balancing academic goals with the demands of parenting. These contributions make a real difference.”

El Camino College invites faculty, staff, students, and community members to join the effort. Donations of new, unwrapped toys are still being accepted and may be delivered directly to the EOPS office in the Student Support Services Bldg., at the Campus Police Station, or in the Administration Bldg. lobby.
