Come Out to “College Night” at El Camino College
All prospective students, parents, adult learners, educators, and community members are invited to El Camino College for an informative evening that highlights everything ECC has to offer. At “College Night,” visitors can take student-led twilight campus tours, and attend workshops, a resource fair, application assistance sessions, and more. The free open house event is scheduled for Nov. 8 – visitors are welcome to stop by anytime between 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“College Night is an opportunity for us to roll out the red carpet and invite the community to experience what makes El Camino the No. 1 choice for college and career advancement,” states El Camino College President/CEO Dr. Brenda Thames. “We’re excited to showcase new classes and degree programs, our recently expanded resources and specialized programs where students will find support and community. We have new buildings now open throughout campus that offer updated technology and modern learning spaces. I invite everyone to visit, take a campus tour, and see first-hand what your College has to offer.”
Information will be presented about the South Bay Promise, a program that offers free college fees for up to two years. In addition, participants can explore training and career education, learn about transferring to a university, and discover the many support services at the college. An ESL information session is also on the agenda. Faculty members, counselors, and staff members will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information.
At just $46 per unit, El Camino College offers low fees and an accessible South Bay location. Financial aid, counseling, and other resources are available to help students be successful as they work toward their goals. Students can apply now at www.elcamino.edu.
El Camino College is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance. Parking is free for College Night in Lot C, located on Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Lemoli Avenue. Participants are asked to check in at the South Plaza, between Lot C and the Student Services building.
