Broken Pipeline Repair Work Continues
Repairs to the broken pipeline that closed campus this week continue. As a result, all staff, non-instructional faculty, and management will return to their on-campus work schedules as soon as heat is restored to all buildings. While repair timelines remain tentative, and are subject to change, employees could return as early as Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Monitoring of the heating system will continue throughout the weekend to ensure adequate heating in all buildings.
Please continue to monitor email and stay in contact with your direct supervisor regarding confirmation and reporting instructions for next week.
Student Instruction
To maintain continuity in instruction for the winter session, courses converted to live online delivery modalities will remain 100% live online for the entire Winter term. Activity or lab sections that were scheduled to occur outdoors will continue as scheduled. Allied health, science, and CTE courses that are heavily dependent upon lab components, skills demonstration, and/or not otherwise amenable to online instruction have been frontloaded with online lecture content. It is expected that these courses will return to campus beginning Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Mandatory COVID-19 Testing
For employees returning to work on campus for the first time since the winter break, antigen testing (nasal swabbing) will be required and offered in the South Gym, Monday and Tuesday, January 10 and 11 to ensure that people working onsite are COVID-free. If test results are negative staff should go to the kiosk of their choice and show their results to receive a wrist band.
