Ballet California’s “The Nutcracker” Celebrates the Season in El Camino College’s Marsee Auditorium

“The Nutcracker” will once again bring a captivating blend of holiday magic and exquisite ballet artistry to El Camino College’s Marsee Auditorium. Ballet California’s festive production of this enchanting story will transport audiences to a whimsical world where a young girl’s dreams of becoming a ballerina take flight on Christmas Eve, leading to exciting adventures. Performances are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 16 and 17.

Under the artistic direction of Diane Lauridsen and Elijah S. Pressman of Ballet California, the dazzling ballet features gorgeous sets and costumes, with an exceptional cast of dancers performing Charles Maple’s choreography to Tchaikovsky’s original score. “The Nutcracker” is a must-see timeless classic for all ages.

Ballet California continues the rich tradition of South Bay Ballet and Lauridsen Ballet Centre, founded in 1978. Many Ballet California dancers have been accepted to a variety of professional ballet companies throughout the U.S. and internationally. Dancers receive outstanding training and opportunities to perform in a wide range of ballets, from classical to contemporary.

The Ticket Office is open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for walk-up sales, and one hour before all performances.
