Guarantee Your Admission
A Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) is a program that offers students from a community college guaranteed admission to several colleges and universities. El Camino College has TAGs with several universities and colleges.
El Camino College has TAGs with the following universities and colleges:
University of California TAG Program Criteria
- Complete at least 60 UC-transferable semester units by the end of spring prior to fall admission.
- All campuses require 30 UC-transferable units completed by the end of the summer prior to the year you will submit a TAG application.
- You may submit a UC TAG Application to only one of the six participating UC's (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz).
- TAG applications must be submitted online at UC TAP by September 30. The UC Admission Application must be submitted online by November 30.
- The supplemental criteria for selective majors will vary by UC campus (please check with a counselor).

Private/Out-of-State TAG Program Criteria
In order to qualify for guaranteed admission to LMU, students must fulfill the following
conditions:
- Earn the minimum Cumulative GPA as outlined in the agreement for your specific major.
*Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts: Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
*College of Communications and Fine Arts: Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.
*College of Business Administration: Minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA. - Minimum of two consecutive full-time semesters with a 3.0 GPA in each semester.
- Complete a minimum of 30 transferable units including additional major coursework as required (please check with a counselor).
- The following majors require specific major preparation and must consult with a counselor: Business Administration, Communications Studies, Economics, International Relations, Political Science and Psychology
- Programs NOT included in the LMU Transfer Admission Agreement: All Majors in The School of Film and Television, and all majors in The Seaver College of Science and Engineering.

Submit the Common Application/LMU Supplemental application at Common App (OR) the LMU Online Application at Online LMU Application AND official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended to LMU by the February 1 deadline.
Admission to ASU is guaranteed upon successfully meeting the following conditions:
- An Associates degree with a minimum cumulative transferable GPA of 2.50
- OR have earned a high school diploma or GED; as well as a fully certified Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or a California State University General Education (CSU-GE), with a minimum cumulative transferable GPA of 2.50.
- OR completion of at least 24 transferable semester units with a minimum cumulative transferable GPA of 3.00 and have earned a high school diploma or GED.

There is a clear way to guarantee your spot at USF: Meet the requirements for our Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program (GTAP) and you’ll be admitted. This applies to all majors except nursing and engineering, which have separate requirements. International students (planning to study in the US on a visa) must also meet our financial requirements and English language proficiency.
And, if you are a domestic applicant who qualifies for GTAP, you’ll automatically
receive a merit scholarship of up to $17,000.
Eligibility to qualify for GTAP, you need to:
- Complete at least 24 semester (or 36 quarter) units of transferable coursework at a regionally accredited college or university. These can be any college-level courses, but we recommend taking those that satisfy our Core Curriculum (or California students can follow the IGETC course series).
- Earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. USF will calculate your transfer GPA based on the classes on your college transcript(s).
- Be in good academic standing (which means having a 2.0 or higher GPA in your most
recent term in college).
How to Apply: In the semester before you plan to transfer, you should:
- Submit your USF Transfer Application or Common App (we accept either) by the transfer deadline.
- Send us your college transcripts (these can be unofficial versions).
- If you’d like to be considered for financial aid based on your need, make sure USF receives your Free Application for Federal Student Aid or California Dream Act Application.
We admit GTAP students in both the fall and spring semesters. You’ll be automatically considered for GTAP when you apply to USF.

- There are 39 participating HBCUs that offer guaranteed admission.
